# Create a note to contact

1. **Select ActiveCampaign** as your target Plug. Click the red gear and choose your connection. You can also create a new one. Click “Continue.”

2. **Choose “Create a note to contact”** as your action. Click “Continue.” Click the red gear next to “Data Template” to display the action’s template.

3. **Fill in the data template**, linking target and source fields. Click “Map” once you’re done.

If you don’t want to go through each field, you may use the search bar at the top. You can also filter required and optional fields.

4. **Make sure the target app is active** in the upper-right corner. Click “Add a target” or “Save” to add another target app or save your Gear.
