# Unsubscribe contact from list

1. **Select ActiveCampaign** as your target Plug. Click the red gear and choose your connection. You can also create a new one. Click “Continue.”

2. **Choose “Unsubscribe contact from list”** as your action and the list you want to use. This will show the action’s data template.

3. **Fill in the data template**, which only requires the contact email. That’s because ActiveCampaign only needs your subscriber’s email to unsubscribe them from a list. Click “Map” once you’re done.

4. **Make sure the target app is active** in the upper-right corner. Click “Add a target” or “Save” to add another target app or save your Gear.
