# Create your Gmail connection

**Oauth connection**: The first step is to install GearPlug in your account so that GearPlug may access the data.

### Set up access

1. **Head over to “My Apps”** in the upper section of your GearPlug interface.

2. **Select Gmail** in the drop-down menu under “New connection” and click “Create,” then “Sign in with Google.”

3. **Choose your account** and **grant the permissions** needed to create the connection.
