# MessageBird WhatsApp

MessageBird WhatsApp is a MessageBird extension, which lets you send message templates via the messaging app. Integrating MessageBird WhatsApp into GearPlug automates this process, using information imported from other apps.

MessageBird WhatsApp only works as a target with two actions:

* **Send template**: Sends a message from your templates (text only) to the phone numbers imported from other apps.
* **Send media template**: Sends a message from your templates (with an attached file) to the phone numbers imported from other apps.
