# Create your Monetiza connection

**Oauth connection**: The first step is to install GearPlug in your account so that GearPlug may access the data.

To use Monetiza with GearPlug, you’ll need an API token linked to your Monetiza account. Below, we’ll show you how to get it:

1. **Go to** my.monetiza.app/api\_tokens and click “Create an API Token.”

2. **Name your API Token** and click “Create.”

3. **Copy your token** by clicking on it.

### Set up access

1. **Head over to “My Apps”** at the top of your GearPlug interface.

2. **Select Monetiza** under the drop-down menu under “New connection” and click “Create.”

3. **Paste the API Token** we copied after the previous steps and click “Create” to finish the setup.
