# Create your PostgreSQL connection

**Oauth connection**: The first step is to install GearPlug in your account so that GearPlug may access the data.

To create your PostgreSQL connection, you’ll need your database location. You can get this information in your database’s details.

### Set up access

1. Head over to “My Apps” at the top of your GearPlug account.

2. Select PostgreSQL in the drop-down menu under “New connection” and click “Create.”

3. Fill in the fields with the corresponding information from your database and click “Continue” to finish the setup.
