๐Ÿค–Turn your Plugs into Gears

Start automating!

With GearPlug, you can create Gears quickly and with little nuance. A Gear links two or more Plugs. And, it allows you to connect apps to automate tasks and improve their functionality.

To create a Gear, you just need to access the โ€œGearsโ€ menu in the upper-left corner of the platform. Once there, choose your Plugs, their actions, and save your Gear. You can transfer and convert data between apps, send notifications, and more.

Key aspects when integrating apps

When creating a Gear, remember you need a source Plug. You can set up one or more targets.

The source Plug is the app from which youโ€™ll extract the data for your Gear. On the other hand, target Plugs receive said data. While creating your Gears, or after saving them, you can turn on and off your target Plugs. This lets you deactivate data transfers to that specific Plug without any effects on the rest of your Gear. You're free to turn on and off Plugs at any moment.

Did you know a Gear canโ€™t work without a source Plug? Itโ€™s important to know this while setting things up. A source Plug provides the data for the integration. Without a source, your Gear wonโ€™t work.

What does a Gear look like after integrating apps?

Letโ€™s say I have a lead gen campaign on Facebook. I want to send those leads to a database on Google Sheets and my CRM. This would require a Gear with Facebook Leads as the source Plug and Google Sheets and the CRM as the targets.

In this case, Facebook Leads will be the source for GearPlug to extract the information. Google Sheets will be a target Plug, adding the data on a new row with columns as variables. Finally, my CRM will be another target Plug. Itโ€™ll register leads as contacts, opportunities, prospects, or other categories within the platform.
