  1. Select MailChimp as your source under “New flow” in the “Gears” section of your GearPlug app.

  1. Pick the connection you wish to use and click “Continue.” You may also create a new connection under “Create a connection.” GearPlug will make a quick test to verify that the connection works.

GearPlug will check whether the connection functions properly before moving on. If it doesn’t, you won’t be able to continue setting up your Gear.

  1. Choose “New subscriber” as your action. Then, pick the audience from which you want to draw information. Click “Create” and wait for the pop-up message.

  1. Unsubscribe a contact in MailChimp inside your chosen audience so that GearPlug can test the connection. This will execute the action’s trigger: a cancelled subscription.

Create an entry in MailChimp: GearPlug needs a new record to test whether it can extract the data successfully. After this record, all future entries will be registered automatically.

  1. Review the data to make sure all fields have the right information. Then, click “OK.”

Empty fields: Under the imported record, you’ll find a drop-down list of “Empty Fields.” There, you’ll find fields you can import—but weren’t used in the contact form.

Done! Your source Plug is ready. GearPlug will extract all new registers after this one.
