# Update item

1. **Select Notion** as your target app, as well as the connection you want to use. Click “Continue.”

2. **Choose “Update item”** as your action and the database you want to update. Click “Continue” and the red gear to display the data template.

3. **Fill in the data template**, linking source and target fields. Click “Map” when you’re done.

4. **Verify that your target is active** in the top-right corner. Click “Add a target” to add more apps or “Save” to save your Gear.
